Below are seat postions for typical senior racing karts. Reduce by 5cm for Junior karts. | Leg Length | (cm) | | normal | 105 | | long | 106 | | medium short | 104 | | short | 103 |

Some people measure from the font left of the seat to the fron chassis rail. The distance should be 610 to 620 mm for an average person. The rear of the seat should be angled at 63 degrees for a standard seat. Tillet have a layback seat for tall/large people which are angled at 58 degress. A magnetic angle gauge is a handy tool to measure seat angle. Place the guage half way up the rear of the seat. Alternatively if you can't measure the angle, ensure the bottom of the seat is parralel with the ground. | Seat Height from ground (Senior karts) | B(mm) | | 125cc Chassis (Light) | 22 | | 125cc Chassis (Heavy) | 16 | | 100cc (Light) | 26 | | 100cc (Heavy) | 22 |
Some karters have only 12mm of spacing "B" particularly when using sticky tyres. 12mm can result in the bottom of the seat wearing through in just one race weekend. 16mm spacing will still wear the bottom of the seat, but not as aggressively. |
